| An Oxford buddies reunion,
October '07: My old Wadham College crew hooked up at London's Oxo
Tower for a mutual late 30s/ 40th birthday celebration. We had joy,
we had fun, we had seasons etc. Left-right, Max Carlish, Phil Smith,
Becky Owens, Kim Shillinglaw, Greg Rowland, Diran Adebayo and Monica
Ali. Our gracious host Max, I'm happy to report, is no longer 'stalking
Pete Doherty'... Filmmakers, Pressfolk, cultural consultants (Greg
- 'Semiotic Solutions') and, slightly interestingly, two who didn't
read English - Monica and myself - novelists. |
